MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State football team opens spring practice this Tuesday at the Blakeslee Stadium practice fields.
"Our second season starts now, head coach
Todd Hoffner said. "We will commence our spring football segment as a program and we are excited to engage in a commitment to developing our inexperienced players while improving our youth.
"Hopefully we will advance our program beyond the Super Region 4 championship that we attained last season. We look forward to making the journey in our quest to winning a title."
The Mavericks will take part in 14 practices from March 25 through April 26. The Mavericks will travel to Tea, S.D. on Sunday, April 13 to face Northern State in a spring football game.
Minnesota State concludes spring practice with its annual purple and gold spring game that will take place at Blakeslee Stadium on Saturday, April 26. The game is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
The Pig Skin BBQ will be held following the completion of the spring game.
