INDIANAPOLIS – Minnesota State women's track and field finished as the National runner-up at the NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday at Fall Creek Pavilion with 58 points.

Minnesota State men's track and field took 14
th place at the same meet, capping another successful season with 13 team points.

"I'm really proud of how the team competed across the board," said head coach
Mike Turgeon. "Our athletes were locked in and maintained a positive mindset all day. With our women's team securing a top-three finish at the indoor national meet for the fifth consecutive year, it's an achievement everyone in our program can truly appreciate."

WOMEN DAY THREE

The Maverick women trailed only Pittsburgh State (Kan.), which scored 63 to win the women's title and 76 to win the men's title. MSU was the top-scoring team from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.

Senior
Adeyah Brewster's time of 8.11 in 60 meter hurdle finals made her a National Champion for the second time during the Indoor Championships. Her time was 5
th fastest in Division II history and a personal best.

Grace Johnson ran a 8.12 in prelims and 8.15 in the finals for second place to also earn First Team All-American status.

The run of Minnesota State women's hurdle champions continued after
Denisha Cartwright ran a time of 8.04 at the same event last spring.

Sophomore
Ghada Hamdani led a crew of women's triple jumpers with a fourth place finish mark of 12.61m (41-4.5). Senior
Stella Neophytou crossed the line eighth (12.36m, 40-6.75) and junior
Lillian Washington took ninth (12.32m, 40-5).

Noemie Thibaud took third place for the Mavericks in high jump at a height of 1.78m (5-10) and a personal best. In the women's 4x400 meter relay, Minnesota State's team of

Brianna Shroyer,
Grace Obour and
Eilika Lane ran to fourth position with a time of 3:40.76 (season best).

Sophomore
Sheldon McNicholas landed seventh in triple jump with a distance of 15.23m (49-11.75).Â

Senior
Jabez Reeves came in to the 200 meters with the top time this season in Division II. He left with a podium finish in third, setting a time of 20.83 (personal best) to win the first heat of the finals.
