GOODYEAR, Ariz. --- The Minnesota State men's golf team finished the Maverick Desert Classic in fourth place Tuesday evening.
The Maverick "A" team finished fourth as it shot a 293-294—587 (+11) at the par-72 Palm Valley Golf Club. Concordia-St. Paul topped the standings with a 292-291--583 (+7). As a member of the Bemidji State "B" team, Brogan Paschal led the individual standings with a 71-67—138 (-6). MSU sophomore
Jack Schrader of the MSU "B" team finished in a tie for second as he shot 70-72—142 (-2).
Junior
Hogan Ordal led the Maverick "A" team as he posted scores of 72-73—145 (+1) as he finished in a tie for 11th place. Senior
Alex Bradley followed right behind in a tie for 16th as he shot 74-72—146 (+2). Junior
Ryan Darling added a 72-77—149 (+5) to finish in a tie for 28th. Freshman
Jack Justesen and junior
Marcus Belka both finished with a +6 as Justesen shot 76-74—150, while Belka shot 75-75—150.
Freshman
Michael Johnson followed Schrader on the Maverick "B" team as he shot 75-70—145 (+1) to finish in a tie for 11th. Junior
Leo Werschay added a 74-76—150 (+6), while freshman
Logan Peroutka tallied a 76-76—152 (+8). As a unit, the Maverick "B" team finished in a tie for sixth as it shot 295-294—589 (+13).
Minnesota State returns to action on March 24-25 as it takes part in the NSIC Preview at the Adams Pointe Golf Club in Blue Springs, Mo.
