MANKATO, Minn. --- Lindenwood University has announced the hiring of
Lavell Jackson to its coaching staff.
Jackson, who has coached the defensive backs since 2018 and served as MSU's assistant defensive coordinator since 2023, will coach the wide receivers at LU.
Since 2018, the Mavericks have compiled a 63-17 (.787) record, won three NSIC Championships and have advanced to the NCAA Tournament five times, including a trip to the NCAA Championship game in 2019.
During Jackson's tenure, Maverick defensive backs have claimed 11 All-NSIC honors, including
Khai West who was named the 2023 NSIC Defensive Newcomer of the Year. He also coached a pair of All-Americans including Ty'Shonan Brooks and Trey Vaval.

Minnesota State finished its 2024 season with an 11-4 record as it advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament.
