LILBURN, Ga. — Minnesota State continued its strong start to the season, holding steady at No. 2 in this week's WBCA Coaches Poll. The Mavericks earned 550 points in the latest rankings and have now occupied the No. 2 spot nationally for four consecutive weeks.

Minnesota State remains the only Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference program ranked in the national top 25 this week, trailing only Grand Valley State, which holds the No. 1 position with a 10–0 record and 23 first-place votes.

This week, the Mavericks posted impressive wins in NSIC play, defeating Southwest Minnesota State 94–49 and topping Sioux Falls 93–82.

The Mavericks open the new year on the road Saturday, Jan. 3, when they visit St. Cloud State for a 4 p.m. contest at Halenbeck Hall. The game will be streamed live on the NSIC Network.
