DEEPHAVEN, Minn. – Minnesota State senior Ralfs Bergmanis (Liepaja, Latvia) was named CCHA Defenseman of the Week for the second time in his Maverick career on Monday (Dec. 15).
 
Bergmanis totaled three points last weekend against Augustana. He scored the game-tying goal on Saturday and also assisted on Reid Morich's power play goal as well as Ean Somoza's even strength goal. In 20 games this season, Bergmanis has two goals and 10 assists for 12 points with 35 shots on goal and a plus-2 rating. He skates on a line with junior Evan Murr.
 
The Mavericks (11-4-5, 8-3-3 CCHA) play Switzerland in the World Junior Pre-Tournament Series on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. CT at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center. Tickets are available at the Mayo Clinic HSEC box office.
