MANKATO, Minn. — Fifteenth-ranked Minnesota State defeated Dartmouth College 5-0 behind four second period goals and a 21-save shutout from freshman netminder
Kaydence Roeske.
The win marks the fourth in a row for Minnesota State and its tenth of the season.
Minnesota State opened the second period as sophomore
Lauren Goldsworthy broke the deadlock at 14:38 with an unassisted goal, putting the Mavericks ahead 1–0. Senior captain
Taylor Otremba scored shortly after pushing the lead to 2-0 before junior
Kamryn Van Batavia added a powerplay goal to push the lead to 3-0
. Freshman
Mercury Bischoff then wrapped up the second period with her sixth goal in the last four games.
Sophomore
Ayla Puppe would put a bow on the game with a goal at the 19:59 mark of the third period.

Shari Dickerman. "We played a more consistent game today. I thought that
Taylor Otremba's line with Kamryn (Van Batavia) and Mercury (Bischoff) really set the tone in the second period. They drove pace and created scoring chances each time they stepped on the ice."
In all eight different Mavericks collected a point in the win. Junior
Lauren Zawoyski finished with two assists, three blocked shots and a +3 rating to pace the Maverick offensive attack. Bischoff had a goal and an assist and Van Batavia finished with a goal and two assists.
The shutout marked the second of the season for Roeske and her second in as many starts. It is also the fifth shutout this season by a Maverick goaltender.
The Mavericks' next matchup will be against No. 14 St. Cloud State on Friday, Dec. 5 at 3:02 p.m. CT at Mayo Clinic HSEC in Mankato, Minn.
