MANKATO, Minn. – The Minnesota State Mavericks (8-7-1, 4-7-1 WCHA) return home this weekend to host Dartmouth College (2-7-1, 2-6-1 ECAC) for a non-conference series at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. Both games will be streamed on B1G+.
Scouting Dartmouth:
Dartmouth enters the weekend with a 2-7-1 overall record, coming off a 5-0 loss to Yale. The Big Green sit 10th in the ECAC standings and are not currently ranked in USCHO or USA Hockey polls. Senior Cally Dixon leads Dartmouth with six points on three goals and three assists. Sophomore goaltender Michaela Hesova has a .898 save percentage and a 3.08 goals-against average.
Recap vs. Minnesota:
Minnesota State had a historic weekend against the University of Minnesota last week. On Friday, junior forward
Ava Guillemette scored the game-winning goal at 16:40 of the third period, lifting the Mavericks to a 3-1 victory. Senior
Kianna Roeske added an empty-net goal at 19:18 to secure the win. The Mavericks overcame an early 1-0 deficit, with freshman
Mercury Bischoff tying the game shortly after Minnesota's Abbey Murphy scored. Goaltender
Hailey Hansen turned away 39 shots, including the final 33 of the game.
Saturday, the Mavericks completed the sweep with a 4-1 victory, marking the first time MSU swept the Gophers since 2006.
Mercury Bischoff recorded a hat trick, including a game-winning power-play goal.
Whitney Tuttle added a goal, and
Kamryn Van Batavia recorded two assists.
Hailey Hansen made 27 saves, helping maintain Minnesota State's lead throughout the contest.

Minnesota State and Dartmouth have met three times, with the Mavericks holding a 2-1 series advantage. Last year in Hanover, MSU won 4-0 on Friday and 3-2 in overtime on Saturday.
