11/26/2025 12:59:00 PM

MANKATO, Minn. — Former Minnesota State women's basketball standout Destinee Bursch has signed a professional contract with the Flomax Liffey Celtics Basketball Club in Ireland for the 2025–26 season.

Bursch, a 5-7 guard from Chaska, Minn., completed her Maverick career as one of the most accomplished players in program history. She appeared in 127 games, the second most ever at Minnesota State, and finished with 1,914 career points, which ranks third all time. During her four years she became a two time member of the 500 plus point season club and closed her career ranked second in field goals made, fifth in field goal attempts, seventh in steals and scoring average, and eighth in free throws made and assists.

During her time at MSU Bursch earned conference and academic recognition every season, beginning with NSIC Freshman of the Year honors. She later collected multiple All NSIC selections, Academic All District honors, and all tournament awards at both the conference and regional levels. She also became the 25th member of the program's 1,000 point club her junior season. That same season, she helped lead the Mavericks to the NCAA Division II National Championship.

The Mavericks close out their non-conference schedule inside the Taylor Center on Saturday, Nov. 29th against UW-Parkside. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. and fans can watch the game live on the NSIC Network.
