EDMOND, Okla. --- The Minnesota State men's golf team wrapped up the Skip Wagnon Invitational in 13th place Tuesday.
As a team, MSU shot a 293-285-288—866 (+26) at the par-70 Kicking Bird Golf Club. St. Mary's (Texas) finished first in the team standings with scores of 269-264-273—806 (-34). Kongpop KaiKaew from St. Mary's took first place in the individual standings with scores of 68-63-66—197 (-13).
Junior
Karson Patten led the way for the Mavericks as he finished 40th at +5 with scores of 76-67-72—215. Patten notched three birdies in his final round of the invite. Senior
Hogan Ordal followed three strokes ack at +8 as he posted scores of 76-71-71—218. Ordal tallied four birdies in round three as well.
Freshman
Sam Swavely finished the invite at +13 as he posted scores of 74-75-74—223, while sophomore
Michael Johnson notched scores of 79-72-80—231 (+21). Senior
Ryan Darling recorded a 71 during his final round which included a birdie and an eagle.
Minnesota State continues its fall schedule on Oct. 13-14 as it takes part in the USF Invitational at Grand Falls Golf Course in Larchwood, Iowa.
