COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former Mavericks Anna Wilgren and Alli Altmann, along with current head coach
Shari Dickerman, have been named to Team USA's 2025 Rivalry Series roster.
Wilgren, a native of Hudson, Wisconsin, played in 91 games for the Mavericks from 2018–2023. She recorded 12 goals and 30 assists for a total of 42 points. She went on to play professionally for PWHL Montreal during the 2024–25 season, appearing in 30 games and tallying three goals and six assists. Wilgren is currently a member of PWHL Seattle.
Alongside Wilgren, two other familiar faces from Minnesota State will also represent Team USA. Maverick head coach
Shari Dickerman returns to the national team's coaching staff for her fourth season, while former Minnesota State goaltender and assistant coach Alli Altmann will also serve on the staff.
Dickerman, now in her second season as head coach for the Mavericks, has been part of the Minnesota State women's hockey staff since 2009. Dickerman has also served as an assistant coach for Team USA at the 2023, 2024 and 2025 IIHF World Championships, where the team earned gold and silver medals, respectively.
Altmann was an assistant coach for the Mavericks during the 2023–24 season. She has extensive experience coaching goaltenders within USA Hockey at various international levels, including the Rivalry Series and IIHF World Championships.
As a player, Altmann competed for the Mavericks from 2008–12, posting an .888 career save percentage while setting the program record for most games played (110). A three-time WCHA All-Academic honoree, she helped lead Minnesota State to its first-ever WCHA Final Faceoff appearance in 2009.
The four- game competition against Canada will be in November and December and serve as a lead up to the 2026 Olympic Winter Games for the two teams.
USA Hockey hosts the first game of the series at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on November 6, and game two at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y., on November 8.
The final two games of the series will be hosted by Hockey Canada on December 10 and 13 in Edmonton, Alberta.
