ST. JOSEPH, Mo. --- The Minnesota State women's golf team finished round one of the Central Region Challenge in sixth place Monday.
The two-round Central Region Challenge is being held at the par-72 St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo. Minnesota State shot a 322 (+34) in round one, while both Southwestern Oklahoma State and Harding finished the day tied for first at 308 (+20).
Senior
Samantha Youngquist paced the Mavericks in round one as she finished in 25th with a score of 79 (+7). Juniors
Emma Berge,
Lauryn Keller and
Victoria Woytassek followed two shots behind with scores of 81 (+9).
Sophomore
Emerson Garlie notched an 84 (+12) also, while senior
Ava Olson recorded an 83 (+11) while competing independently.
