LARCHWOOD, Iowa --- The Minnesota State women's golf team wrapped up the USF Invitational in fifth place Tuesday.
The two-round USF Invitational was held at the par-72 Grand Falls Golf Course. The Mavericks shot a 316-334—650 (+74) to finish in fifth place. Wayne State finished first in the team standings with scores of 311-327--638 (+62). Concordia-St. Paul's Piper Hill took first place in the individual standings with scores of 72-78—150 (+6).
Junior
Lauryn Keller shot a team-best 79 in round two as she finished in a tie for 11th place at +17 along with senior
Samantha Youngquist who posted an 86. Keller and Youngquist each recorded a birdie in round two. Junior
Victoria Woytassek, who shot an 82 in round two, finished two shots behind Keller and Youngquist at +19.
Sophomore
Emerson Garlie notched an 87 in round two to finish the invitational at +24, while sophomore
Aly Blomberg followed one shot back at +25 as she posted a 90 on the final day. Sophomore
Emma Berge competed independently and shot an 85 on the final day to finish the invitational in 17th place at +20.
Minnesota State concludes the fall portion of is schedule on Oct. 20-21 as it takes part in the Central Region Preview at the St. Joseph Country Club in St. Joseph, Mo.
