BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State junior Ashley Overgaauw (Lake Wilson, Minn.) was named NSIC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the third time by the conference office on Tuesday (Oct. 14).
 
Overgaauw placed second at the Holiday Inn Express Classic, hosted by Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa last week. Overgaauw ran a season-best time of 21:02.98, helping the Mavericks to first place at the event with a team score of 28 points. The Mavericks had four student-athletes inside the top six.
 
Overgaauw also won NSIC Athlete of the Week on Sept. 9 and Sept. 30. The Mavericks continue with the NSIC Championships on Friday, Oct. 24 at Wayne Country Club in Wayne, Nebraska.
