BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Minnesota State junior Ashley Overgaauw (Lake Wilson, Minn./Murray County Central HS) was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 30). It is the second time this season, Overgaauw has earned the distinction (Sept. 9).
 
Over the weekend, Overgaauw led the Mavericks at the Lucian Rosa Invite in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She finished the race in 20^th place with a 6K time of 21:54.9 and helped the Mavericks place seventh at the meet. For the third straight meet, Overgaauw was the Mavericks' top finisher.
 
MSU women's cross country competes next at the Holiday Inn Express Classic on October 11 at Dordt University Prairie. The 6K course is located in Sioux Center, Iowa. It is the final meet before the NSIC Championships at Wayne Country Club on Friday, October 24.
