BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State sophomore Emerson Garlie has been named the NSIC Golfer of the Week for the second straight week Wednesday.

A native of Northfield, Minn., Garlie finished first at the SMSU Fall Invitational this past weekend as she finished two over par with scores of 71-75—146. She notched six birdies and won the event by four strokes.

Garlie's 71 in round one was the low round for the invite. She has now finished first in two events this season and third in the another.

Minnesota State continues its season on Oct. 6-7 as it takes part in the Grace Shin Invite in Edmond, Okla. The invite will be hosted by Central Oklahoma at the Golf Club of Edmond.
