MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team wrapped up its home schedule Saturday afternoon as it defeated Sioux Falls 138-99.
With the win, MSU improves to 9-1 in dual action this season. USF now owns a 2-5 dual record on the season. In total, the Mavericks took first in six of the 13 events against USF.
"We had a great final home meet of the season today," head coach
Nathan Owens said. "It was also senior day, so the team was excited to for them. I was impressed with Sioux Falls and their team. They had some great swims and had some really fun match ups racing their women.
"The seniors had a great last night of racing at our pool including a few competitive senior relays. Our divers had an awesome day throwing some big dives. Sophomore Nat Freeman set a New School Record on1-meter six dives. Overall, in the pool we look sharp but maybe a little fatigued which is probably a good thing for the time being. Over the next few days and weeks, we'll slowly start to reduce the workload as we taper into the conference meet coming up in a little less than three weeks. Everyone is excited to be fully rested and peak for the championship."
Sophomore
Natalie Freeman set a school record in the six dive 1-meter event with a score of 265.50, with senior
Aspen Warnygora following in second place with a score of 253.85. The 3-meter diving event again saw Freeman lead the way with a score of 249.05, with Warnygora following in second with a score of 227.40.

Savannah Acker, junior
Megan Schulz, senior
Jaedyn Hill and graduate student
Elise Mishmash finished the 200 medley relay event with a time of 1:49.61. In the 200 freestyle event, it was the team of freshman
Averi Larsen, junior
