Mankato, Minn. – The women's outdoor track and field team continued competition today in Aberdeen, South Dakota, with freshman
Aubri Brown leading the charge.
In the shot put, Brown placed third with a toss of 12.19m (40'), followed by freshmen
Jadyn Hart and
Elli Heisinger in fourth (12.04m, 39' 6") and fifth (12.03m, 39' 5.75"), respectively. Freshman
Emma Osier threw for 11.88m (38' 11.75") to finish in seventh.
Brown also crushed the hammer throw with a personal best throw of 49.66m (162' 11") to place second and rank 11
th on the MSU all-time top performances list. Also throwing for personal best marks were Heisinger (40.41m, 132' 7"), freshman
Sarah Zino (40.34m, 132' 4"), and Osier (40.02m, 131' 3") in sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.
Freshman
Maya Shorter finished seventh in the javelin with a throw of 33.63m (110' 4").
In the 100m hurdles, junior
Esther Miller ran a 15.63s race to place fifth, with a 4.5m/s wind speed.
The Mavericks continue the outdoor season this week starting on Wednesday, April 24
th at the Running On Hope Invitational.
