MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State men's track and field hosted the Minnesota State Open at the Mark Schuck Outdoor Track and Field Complex Saturday and finished first in a 12-team field on a breezy afternoon in Mankato with 295.50 points.

In field events,
Collin Windorski placed first in men's pole vault at a height of 4.79m. Then
Carter Aguilera took first in men's hammer throw with a distance of 55.67m.

On the track,
Armando Colome crossed the line first in the 100m dash finals with a time of 10.55, followed by
Anthony Collins' top podium finish in the 400m hurdles with a time of 53.25.

The Mavericks'
Marvin Dure won the 200m dash with a time of 21.40. MSU's 4x400m relay team included
Anthony Collins,
Kyler Bade,
Edward Clark and
Theo Moseman. The team were first place winners with a time of 3:22.22.

Justin Fretag posted a distance of 46.71m in discus throw for third place behind Sioux Falls' Chase Snyder (52.41m).

Top five teams included Minnesota State (295.50), Sioux Falls (97), St. John's (90.50), Martin Luther (55) and Concordia-St. Paul (53). The Mavericks also sent factions to the Long Beach Invite, Bryan Clay Invitational and Cerritos College Invite over the weekend.

Minnesota State men's track and field will be back in action at the M City Classic on April 17, hosted by the University of Minnesota at University of Minnesota Track & Field Stadium.
