MANKATO, Minn. – Minnesota State men's track and field concluded competition in the Maverick Premier #2 Saturday as the team finished first with 262 points, ahead of Emporia State (79.50), Concordia St. Paul (53), Azusa Pacific (25), Sioux Falls (18) and Viterbo (11).

The No. 6 ranked Mavericks are back inside Myers Field House on Friday, February 16 for the Maverick Invitational.

Jacob Ziebarth raised the bar in the high jump, improving by 3.5 inches to clear 6' 11.75". Over the past two days, we've made significant strides in elevating our team's readiness to compete for titles at both the conference and national levels."

In sprints, the Mavericks took all three top spots in the 60m dash, with first place Price Nti (6.87), second place
D'Eric Smith (6.92) and third place
Daniel Attoh (6.93). Freshman
Paul Lins came in second in the 800 meters (1:55.49) and
Abel Christiansen turned in an impressive time of 7.95 in 60 meter hurdles.

Jacob Ziebarth's first place finish in high jump was a season best.
Alex Berg recorded 4.48m (14' 8.25") to win pole vault and
Camwrin Harris topped the podium in long jump (6.98m, 22' 11.00"). Harris also won triple jump for the Mavericks (15.11m, 49' 7.00").

Carter Aguilera's PR in weight throw came in at 20.32m (66' 8.00") ahead of teammate
Zachary Shaner (17.17m, 56' 4.00").

In distance,
Ray Ure led the team with a time of 15:04.51.
Nikolai Schmanski (15:18.15) and
Erek Ross (16:01.28) crossed second and third respectively.
The Maverick Invitational next Friday serves as the final tune up meet, ahead of the NSICÂ Indoor Championships February 23-24 in Mankato.
