MANKATO, Minn. – No. 3 ranked Minnesota State men's indoor track and field polished off a solid team win with 325 points at the Mark Schuck Open at Myers Field House Friday and Saturday. The Mavericks stood atop a 10-team field, which included second place Wayne State (114), third place Concordia St. Paul (110), fourth place Coe (60), and fifth place Sioux Falls (59).

Highlight performances came early and often for MSU.
Chance Swenson finished first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 56.09 seconds. Last week's NSIC athlete of the week
Abel Christiansen took first in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.98.

Jabez Reeves continued his strong start to the season with a first place 60 meter dash of 6.82 seconds. In the pole vault,
Alex Berg cleared a height of 4.77 meters for first place.
Jordan Spencer jumped a distance of 14.80 for the No. 1 triple jump on the weekend (16th in Division II).

Carter Aguilera posted a strong weight throw distance of 18.97m for first place (18th in Division II) while
Steven Orzolek threw a distance of 15.47m in shot put to secure the top spot.

Ray Ure won the men's 1000 meter run with a time of 2:36.22.
Qai Hussey also succeeded in winning the 200 meter dash in 21.87.

Maquanet Collins ran to first place in the 600 meters with a time of 1:25.03.

Minnesota State continues indoor track and field season when it hosts the Ted Nelson Classic on February 3 at 11 a.m. at Myers Field House.
