FARGO, N.D. —- Minnesota State claimed a total of four All-NSIC honors on day two of the NSIC Championships.
As a team, MSU sits in second place with 459 points. Augustana held the top spot in the standings with 490 points.
Senior Nicole Beckman claimed All-NSIC honors in the 100 butterfly as she finished second with a time of 56.52. Freshman Claudia Schwartz finished fourth with a time of 56.87.
Five Mavericks finished in the top-eight in the 1-meter diving event including senior Ayla Taylor and sophomore Sydney Hanson who both claimed All-NSIC honors and posted provisional qualifying scores. Taylor took second place with 422.10 points, while Hanson finished third with 420.30 points. Sophomores Aspen Warnygora and Yasmin Nachmias posted provisional qualifying scores of 400.65 and 390.85, respectively.
The team of sophomore Abby Gronholz, senior Kailyn Arps, Beckman and junior Elise Mishmash earned All-NSIC honors with a second place finish in the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:47.23.
Arps led the Mavericks in the 400 IM as she finished fifth with a time of 4:34.05. Mishmash recorded an eighth place finish in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:54.42 also.
Minnesota State continues competition in the NSIC Championships on Friday. The prelims are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., with the finals set to follow at 5:30 p.m.
