BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- Minnesota State junior
Makayla Jackson has been named the NSIC Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.
A sprinter/jumper from Milwaukee, Wis., Jackson set school records in both the long jump (20-10.75/6.37m) and the 60m dash (7.235). She currently ranks first in both events in NCAA DII this year and sixth in DII history.
Jackson was also part of the 4x400 relay team that set a school record with a time of 3:44.61. Their time ranks third in NCAA DII this season and 23rd in NCAA DII history.
Minnesota State continues its schedule this Friday as it hosts the Maverick Invitational at Myers Field House. The meet is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m.
