MANKATO, Minn. --- #3 Minnesota State wraps up the 2023 calendar year this Tuesday at home as it takes on #21 Minnesota Duluth. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m., at Taylor Center.
Minnesota State History: The 2023-24 season marks the 102nd campaign as a varsity sport for Minnesota State men's basketball. The Mavericks are 1,426-945 (.601) in 2,371 games since the program's inception in the 1920-21 season. MSU capped its 33rd and final season as a member of the NCC in 2008 and owned a 283-267 (.515) record in 550 league games played. In the NSIC, MSU owns a 216-104 (.675) record to go with four regular-season championships and two tournament championships.
Against the Bulldogs: Tuesday's game between Minnesota State and Minnesota Duluth marks their 82nd meeting, with MSU leading the all-time series 46-35. The Mavericks have lost their last two games against the Bulldogs, including an 88-68 loss at UMD in the first round of the NSIC Tournament last season.
