Phelps made a note to highlight the team's difficult upcoming schedule. "This was a huge confidence boost heading into tomorrow. If we can play just a little bit stronger than what we did tonight, I feel very confident that we can win tomorrow, which will carry us for the next couple weeks of play."

The Mavericks return to the Taylor Center tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. to take on the Wolves of Northern State (12-3) for the second match of homecoming weekend.
