Mankato, Minn. – The Minnesota State women's volleyball team hosted Minot State in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action Friday and came away with a three-set victory.
Buoyed by a .288 hitting percentage, the Mavericks downed the Beavers in straight sets - 25-9, 25-19, 25-18).

Toryn Richards paced the Maverick offense with 10 kills. Freshman libero
Ellie Kline contributed eight digs and sophomore
Brooke Bolwerk passed out 31 assists. Sophomore outside hitter/middle blocker
Kiya Durant chipped in with two blocks.
Minot State, which fell to 0-14 overall and 0-7 NSIC, was led by
Alexandra Koontz with five kills. Jaina Macaulay passed 11 assists, while
Emily Kotelnikoff posted five digs.
Minnesota State, now 3-12 for the season, continues NSIC home action tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. with the University of Mary visting Taylor Center.
