Minneapolis, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's golf team placed second at the Everspring Inn Mustang Invitational held the last two days at the Marshall Golf Club in Marshall, Minn.
The 36-hole tournament, which was hosted by Southwest Minnesota State, included 13 teams.
The Mavericks, who combined to shoot rounds of 320 and 316 for a two-round total of 636, placed 20 strokes behind the first-place efforts of Augustana (616).
Samantha Youngquist (74-78--152), who finished third, was the top Minnesota State individual at the tournament.
