MOORHEAD, Minn. —- The Minnesota State volleyball team picked up its first NSIC win of the season as it defeated MSU Moorhead 3-2 (25-18, 22-25, 25-19. 22-25, 15-13).
With the win, the Mavericks improve to 2-11 on the season, including a 1-4 NSIC record. With the loss the Dragons drop to 5-8, including a 2-3 conference record.
Sophomore Brooke Bolwerk passed out 56 assists, while freshman Elizabeth Dille notched a team-leading 19 kills. Freshman Ellie Kline recorded 25 digs and sophomore Kiya Durant posted four total blocks.
Bridget Witzmann led the Dragons with 25 kills, while Emily Skalicky tallied 45 assists.
Minnesota State wraps its road trip this Saturday as it takes on Northern State at 2:00 p.m.
