Burnsville, Minn. --- Minnesota State's Katie Taylor has been named the NSIC Women's Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season for her performance in the NSIC & Friends Indoor Challenge this past weekend.

A senior from Hayward, Wis., Taylor took home the top spot in the shot put with a distance of 47-11.75  (14.62m), which would rank 12th in Division II this season. Taylor also, claimed victory in the weight throw with a toss of 62-10.75 (19.17m), which would rank tied for ninth in Division II this season.

She is ranked ninth in the shot put and second in the weight throw from throws earlier this season. This is the third time this season that Taylor has earned this recognition.

Minnesota State returns to action this weekend, Friday Feb. 18, as they host the Maverick Invitational in Myers Field House.
