MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's basketball team continues its season with three games away from Taylor Center this week.
The Mavericks begin the week with a nonconference road game at St. Cloud State on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m., before heading to the west coast to take part in the Ron Logson Basketball Challenge in Rohnert Park, Calif. The Mavericks will face Sonoma State on Friday at 9:00 p.m. (CST) and Stanislaus State on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. (CST).
Minnesota State History: The 2022-23 season marks the 101st campaign as a varsity sport for Minnesota State men's basketball. The Mavericks are 1,399-933 (.599) in 2,332 games since the program's inception in the 1920-21 season. MSU capped its 33rd and final season as a member of the NCC in 2008 and owned a 283-267 (.515) record in 550 league games played. In the NSIC, MSU owns a 199-93 (.681) record to go with four regular-season championships and two tournament championships.
Against the Huskies: Tuesday's game between Minnesota State and St. Cloud State marks their 185th all-time meeting with the series tied at 92-92. The Mavericks have won their last four meetings against the Huskies, including an 87-80 road win in their most recent encounter.

Matthew Willert notched a game-high 20 points for the Huskies, while Luke Taylor recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Against the Seawolves: Friday's game between Minnesota State and Sonoma State marks their second all-time meeting.
Minnesota State won its previous meeting against the Seawolves 75-68 during the 2012-13 season.
Against the Warriors: Saturday's game will be the first meeting between Minnesota State and Stanislaus State.
Concerning the Mavericks: Minnesota State enters the week the owner of a 2-0 record as it defeated Missouri Southern (87-73) and Henderson State (84-64) last weekend at the Central Region Challenge in Kansas City, Mo.

Concerning the Huskies: St. Cloud State enters the week the owner of a 1-1 record, including a loss to Southern Nazarene (87-52) and a win against Arkansas Monticello (92-60) last weekend.
