Sioux Falls, S.D. – The Minnesota State women's volleyball fell in three sets to Sioux Falls in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference road action in Sioux Falls, S.D.
The host Cougars, who improve to 14-9 overall and 10-6 NSIC with tonight's win, prevailed 25-23, 25-22, 25-15 over the visiting Mavericks.
With the loss, Minnesota State drops to 6-19 overall and 5-12 in NSIC matches.
Minnesota State was led offensively by sophomore Emma Loveall, who finished with nine kills. Sophomore Sophie Tietz led the team with four blocks. Tietz and sophomore Brooke Bolwerk posted six digs for the Mavericks. Sophomore Brooke Bolwerk passed out 27 assists and now has 599 assists for the season.
Sioux Falls' offense was led by Sadie Voss with 11 kills. Elise Gillen had 25 assists for the Cougars while Sadie Voss, Caitlin Kellner and Nicole Jacobson posted nine digs each.
Minnesota State continues NSIC action tomorrow at 4:00 p.m., visiting Southwest Minnesota State.
