St. Paul, Minn. – The Minnesota State women's volleyball fell in three sets to third-rated Concordia-St. Paul in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference road action in St. Paul Tuesday.
The host Bears, who improve to 22-2 overall and 15-1 NSIC with tonight's win, prevailed 25-17, 25-16, 25-20 over the visiting Mavericks.
With the loss, Minnesota State drops to 6-18 overall and 5-11 in NSIC matches.
Minnesota State was led offensively by sophomore Emma Loveall, who finished with nine kills. Sophomore Kiya Durant and sophomore Sophie Tietz led the team with three blocks each. Tietz posted nine digs for the Mavericks followed closely by sophomore Toryn Richards with eight. Sophomore Brooke Bolwerk passed out 24 assists and now has 599 assists for the season.
Concordia-St. Paul's offense was led by Jasmine Mulvihill with 13 kills. Teagan Starkey had 41 assists for the Golden Bears while Elie Sieling posted 17 digs.
Minnesota State continues NSIC action this weekend with road matches at the University of Sioux Falls Friday and Southwest Minnesota State Saturday.
