Dryden McKay has been named a finalist for the 2020-21 Richter Award, which goes to the top men's college hockey goaltender in the nation.
McKay, an All-American last year and the reigning WCHA Goaltender of the Year, was also a finalist for the award last year as a sophomore.
McKay, a Downers Grove, Ill., native has been named Western Collegiate Hockey Association Goaltender of the Week three times this year and was the national goaltender of the month for January. Amongst goaltenders who have played at five games, he leads the country in goals against average (1.14) and shutouts (8) and ranks second in wins (15) and is tied for third in save percentage (.941).
The eighth annual Richter award will be presented in April during the NCAA Division I Frozen Four.
