MANKATO, Minn. --- Minnesota State wraps up its regular season home schedule this weekend as it hosts the Augustana Vikings on Friday and the Wayne State Wildcats on Saturday at Taylor Center. Game times are set for 7:30 p.m., and 5:30 p.m., respectively.
Minnesota State History: The 2018-19 season marks the 97th campaign as a varsity sport for Minnesota State men's basketball. The Mavericks are 1,352-897 (.601) in 2,249 games since the program's inception in the 1920-21 season. MSU capped its 33rd and final season as a member of the NCC in 2008 and owned a 283-267 (.515) record in 550 league games played. In the NSIC, MSU owns a 167-67 (.713) record to go with four regular-season championships and two tournament championships.
The Mavericks made their 14th appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season. MSU owns an 18-14 record (.562) in NCAA Tournament play, including its 60-50 win over Northwest Missouri State, a 74-70 win over Southwest Minnesota State and a 90-83 loss to Northern State last season.
Against the Vikings: Friday's game between Minnesota State and Augustana will be their 118th meeting, with MSU leading the all-time series 65-52. The Mavericks have won their last three games against the Vikings, including a 79-73 road victory earlier this season.

Cameron Kirksey notched a team-leading 24 points, while junior
Kevin Krieger tallied 16 points and a team-best nine rebounds. Freshman
Tre Baumgardner added 11 points, four rebounds and three assists off the bench.
As a team, Minnesota State shot 46.6% from the field and went 18-of-27 (.667) from the free throw line. The Mavericks also tallied 19 points off 11 Augustana turnovers.
