Mavericks Rated #1 in USCHO Poll After League Road Sweep

Mankato, Minn. --- A league road sweep at Michigan Tech has propelled Minnesota State to a #1-ranking in this week's USCHO NCAA Division I men's hockey poll announced Monday.

The Mavericks, who earned 3-0 and 2-1 victories over the host Huskies last Friday and Saturday, picked up 961 points and 25 first-place votes in this week's poll. Denver (8-1-1), which had held the #1-ranking for fourth straight weeks, garnered 15 first-place votes and 913 points in dropping to second.

The last time Minnesota State was rated #1 in the USCHO poll was March 23, 2015.

Minnesota State (8-1-1) is off this week prior to hosting Alaska Anchorage Nov. 22-23.
