MINNETONKA, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's tennis team won its sixth straight dual Saturday evening as it defeated MSU Moorhead 5-3 in the first round of the NSIC Tournament.
With the win, the Mavericks improve to 10-10 on the season, while the Dragons end their season with a 12-8 record.

Erin Streeter provided MSU's lone doubles victory as they defeated Jessamy Jones and Chessa Jones 8-3 in the No. 1 doubles match.
The Mavericks then rallied in the singles matches as they came away with four victories, en route to a 5-3 win.

Abby Schmidt defeated Chessa Jones 6-3, 6-2 in the No. 6 singles match, before Mashburn bested Ricquel Ramsbottom 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 3 singles match. Streeter topped Jessamy Jones 6-1, 6-3 in the No. 1 singles match, before freshman
Monika Ryan secured the victory for the Mavericks as she defeated Alexis Konecne 6-3, 6-4 in the No. 4 singles match.
Minnesota State continues play in the NSIC Tournament on Sunday as it takes on Augustana. The dual is scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m.
