Brookings, S.D.--- The Minnesota State men's track and field traveled to South Dakota State University Friday and Saturday to participate in the SDSU Indoor Classic.
In the 200-meter dash
Tanner Ogren (22.09) finished eighth and
Parker Gloudemans (22.13) finished ninth.
John Schuster set a career best time in the 400-meter dash when he ran it in 48.13 which is a provisional qualifying time as well as the seventeenth best time in DII this season. Dennis Morris (49.04) finished tenth,
Dalton Bialke (49.14) finished 13
th and
Isaiah Pitchford (49.17) finished 14
th in the 400-meter as well.
In the 600-meter run Morris finished third with a time of 1:20.77.
Austin Pasch finished 12
th in the 1-mile run with a time of 4:15.60 and finished third in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:32.16.
In the weight throw
Sam Udermann finished ninth with a throw of 58'1.25" and
Bryan Caffin finished eleventh with a distance of 57'1.50". Caffin also finished 12
th in the shot put with a throw of 50'8.75"
London Thurman finished first in the triple jump with a leap of 49'3" which set a new personal best for him, met provisional qualifying standards, and was the 15
th best jump in DII this season.
Alex Campbell finished third in the triple jump with a leap of 48'4.75" which also met provisional qualifying standards and was also the 24
th best jump in DII this season.
Elijah Calderon-Pitchford finished fourth in the triple jump with a distance of 48'.
In the pole vault
Mitchell Valli finished tied for fourth place with a height of 16'6.75".
Michael Sandle finished second in the high jump with a leap of 6'9.50"and
Anyah Nutter (6'5.50") finished sixth.
Minnesota State will host the NSIC Multi Sunday and Monday as the Heptathlon will be completed for the NSIC Conference Championships.
