BURNSVILLE, Minn. --- A total of 47 Minnesota State student-athletes have been named to the 2016 NSIC Fall All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for this honor, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or better. Furthermore, the student-athlete must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution.
The volleyball team led the way with 13 student-athletes, with the soccer team following right behind with 12. Both football and women's cross country had nine student-athletes named to the NSIC Fall All-Academic Team, while men's cross country had four.
Volleyball (13): Brooklyn Braun, Haley Fogarty, Sydney Geisness, Krista Hassing, Megan Hulscher, Jackie Jones, Madie Keute, Rissi McNallan, Vikolia Meade, Lexi Platz, Sydney Powell, Autumn Risch and Nevena Vukomanovich.
Soccer (12): Maddy Burandt, Morgan Cottew, Caitlin Foley, Lauren Kizlik, Taylor Livermore, Kiana Nickel, Abby Nordeen, Lexi Pszanka, Dana Savino, Morgan Seemuth, Maddy Smith and Julia Zach.
Football (9): Mat Andriano, Marcus Gooden, William Hannemann, Marion Lambright, Connor McKeen, Joel Ngoyi, Ryan Persick, Sam Schrauth and Neico Stokke.
Women's Cross Country (9): Megan Allan, Erin Baker, Jessica Boespflug, Josie Braaten, Allyson Daines, Mackenzie Dockendorf, Sally O'Brien, Megan Serratore and Maddi Sjelin.
Men's Cross Country (4): Caleb Burke, Steven Erredge, Brendan Gessner and Michael Hoff.
