Two Mavericks Showcase at National Championships

Birmingham, Ala. --- Two of the three Minnesota State women's track and field members who qualified for nationals were in action Friday.

In her first trip to the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, sophomore Brieanna Puckett participated in both the long jump and the 60-meter dash. She finished 18th in the long jump with a distance of 18'1". Following that, she finished 14th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.60.

Senior Bryanna Sudman returned to the national stage in the pole vault just missing the all-american title with her ninth-place finish at 12'3.5".

Senior Anna Veroeven will be the lone Maverick in action tomorrow as the championships wrap up in Birmingham, Ala.
