MANKATO, Minn. --- The No. 19 Minnesota State women's basketball team earned the second seed in the NSIC Tournament and are currently riding a 10 game winning-streak into the post season. A season ago, MSU took an 11 game winning-streak into the conference tournament.
	The Mavericks finished the regular season with a 21-5 overall record and  were 18-4 record in league play, marking the second-straight year under second year head coach Emilee Thiesse the Mavericks have finished 18-4 in league play. 
	
	This past weekend the Mavericks wrapped up the regular season with a pair of wins over the University of Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State by scores of 82-72 and 89-58, respectively. MSU was led by senior Ali Wilkinson who matched her season scoring average, netting on average 17 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest. In the two wins, the Mavericks outscored their opponents 171-130. 
	
	Scouting the Golden Eagles: Mike Roysland enters his seventh year leading  the University of Minnesota Crookston women's basketball team heading into the 2013-14 season. Roysland has accumulated 64 wins in his first six seasons leading the Golden Eagle program.
	
	UMC is led by Alexa Thielman and Katrina Moenkedick, who are averaging 15.1 and 15.0 points per contest and are the only two Golden Eagles averaging double-figures.
	
	Collectively, UMC is averaging 70.1 points per contest, while allowing its opponents to net an average of 73.2 points per game. 
	
	Streaking Into the Postseason: Minnesota State takes its 10 game winning-streak into the NSIC tournament, a season ago the Mavericks finished the regular season on an 11 game winning-streak as they entered the conference tournament. 
	
	Postseason Prognosis: The Mavericks earned the second seed into the NSIC conference tournament for the second-straight year. A season ago, the Mavericks advanced to the NSIC Conference Championship where they fell to Augustana, 81-73.
	
	Looking Back: The Mavericks finished the regular season on a 10 game winning-streak as it downed Sioux Falls (82-72) and Southwest Minnesota State (89-58), finishing the NSIC circuit with an 18-4  conference record for the second-straight season under second year head coach Emilee Thiesse.
	
	Regionally Ranked: The Mavericks debuted at No. 5 in the NCAA Central Region. Harding and Emporia State sit atop the regional rankings. The central region is comprised of the Great American Conference (GAC), the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). The top eight teams in the final ranking will receive a berth into the NCAA Central Region tournament, with the three conference champions receiving an automatic bid to the tournament. 
	
	Nationally-Known: The Mavericks are currently fourth in the nation in turnover margin (+7.0), eighth in points per game (82.2), 13th in assist to turnover ratio (1.18), 14th in scoring margin (+15.5) and 15th in steals (11.5 per game). Individually, junior Aubrey Davis is 15th in assist to turnover ratio (2.08) and senior Ali Wilkinson is 40th in field goal percentage (52%). Wilkinson's 17 points per game ranks her fourth in the conference and 69th nationally.
	
	Good Work!: Ali Wilkinson was one of 10 women's basketball players to be recognized by the WBCA and Allstate and was named to the 2014 Good Works Team for her community service off the court.
	
	100: Senior forward Ali Wilkinson has competed in 119 games for the Mavericks. During those games, Wilkinson has started 88 and is shooting 51% from the field and averaging 13.2 points and 7.2 rebounds per game.
	
	Your Language is Offensive: The Mavericks currently boast the league's top-scoring attack, averaging 82.2 points per game, which ranks them seventh in the nation. MSU has had five 100-plus point games this season tying the 2007-08 team for the most triple-digit games in a season in program history.
