STORM LAKE, IOWA – Adam Cooling (So., 157 lbs. 5-0) finished first in his weight class at the Buena Vista Open on Saturday.  Da'Wayne Robertson (Jr., 125 lbs. 4-1) placed second while six others placed.
 
Cooling started his day off with a major decision win over Daniel Edwards (Briar Cliff) by the score of 10-2 and a decision win over Cooper Self (Midland (Neb.)) by a score 9-3.  Cooling's next victory came by a 3-2 decision over Leivon Lewis (Ellsworth CC).  Tenth-rated in NAIA Joseph Weber (Briar Cliff) took Cooling into overtime but cooling won 2-1.  The championship round also came down to a 2-1 score as Cooling beat Enrique Barajas of Concordia (Neb.). 
 
Robertson kept his winning ways going as he finished 4-1 on the day.  The Mesa, Ariz. native recorded four falls before losing his only match of the day in the championship round against #1 rated NJCCA Alfredo Rodriguez (Iowa Lakes).  Malcolm Allen (Jr., 285 lbs. 4-1) earned a third place win and defeated 10th rated Abram Reynolds (Briar Cliff) in double overtime along the way.  Chris Zimmer (So., 197 lbs. 4-1) also finished third on the day.
