Erin Krichiver tied her career-high in saves but Minnesota State was unable to keep pace with Wisconsin's high-powered offense.
With the loss the Mavericks drop to 0-10-1 overall and 0-8-1 in WCHA play while the Badgers move to 10-2-1 and 8-2-1 in league play.
Wisconsin came out of the gates running on all cylinders scoring three goals within the first eight minutes of the game. The Mavericks answered back with a goal of their own at 14:14 of the opening frame. Sophomore

In the middle frame Wisconsin increased its lead to three goals when Annie Pankowski was able to get one past Krichiver with 12:09 remaining. Sophomore

Nicole Schammel would hook up for the Mavericks second goal as Schammel beat UW netminder Ann-Renee Desbiens for her team-leading fourth goal of the year.
It was all Wisconsin after that as the Badgers added one more score in the second and three in the third to defeat the Mavericks 8-2.
Minnesota State was outshot 68-14 on the evening. Both teams were unablet o score on the power-play as MSU went 0-1 while UW went 0-4.
The Mavericks will battle the Badgers again tomorrow afternoon at LaBahn Arena. The opening faceoff is set for 3:07 p.m.
