Winter Haven, Fla. --- Tenth-ranked Minnesota State scored in walk off fashion to defeat Lewis University, 2-1, in 11 innings and record its second straight extra-inning victory Friday at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.

Mike Eckhart drew a walk, advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt from senior
Lucas Skjefte, and scored on a single by junior infielder
Todd Standish.
Senior righthander
Harvey Martin surrendered his only run of the day in the top of the sixth inning on a solo homerun off the bat of junior
Jake Murray to tie the contest at 1-1. Martin struck out eight Flyers in six innings of work while allowing two hits and a pair of walks.
The game remained tied until the Maverick offense capitalized in the bottom of the 11th inning. Standish doubled and moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by junior outfielder

Scott Lindner singled in Standish for the game-winning run.
Senior righthander
Nick Sutherland fanned four LU hitters in four and two-thirds scoreless innings in relief of Martin, but senior
Mahlon Zimmerman picked up the win to improve to 3-0 on the year.
Standish finished two-of-three and Eckhart went one-of-three for MSU who outhit Lewis 6-5 on the afternoon.
The Mavericks (6-2, 0-0 NSIC) will take on Saint Joseph’s College tomorrow afternoon as first pitch is set for 3:00 p.m. EST .
