Box Score Winter Haven, Fla. --- Tenth-ranked Minnesota State used three runs in the final two innings to walk away with a 10-inning 8-6 victory over Ohio Dominican in non-conference play Friday afternoon at the Russmatt Central Florida Invitational.

The Mavericks took an early lead with three runs in the third inning - keyed by a two-run single off the bat of sophomore catcher
Nolan Johnson - and added two more in the top of the fourth to push the lead to 5-0.

ODU responded with three runs in the bottom of the fourth and added another in the fifth, before
Kyle Tisdale plated two with a two-out bases-loaded single to give the Panthers a 6-5 advantage after seven innings of play.

In the top of the ninth, MSU forced extra innings when junior outfielder
Scott Lindner reached second on an ODU error and was driven by sophomore infielder
Connor McCallum. One inning later, junior outfielder
Mike Eckhart's one-out triple drove in pinch-runner senior
Cory Glieden and Eckhart scored on a single from junior infielder
Todd Standish one batter later to give the Mavericks an 8-6 lead they would not relinquish.
