Box Score Leesburg, Fla. --- Tenth-ranked Minnesota State saw its four-game winning streak come to an end Monday afternoon as it fell to 15th-rated Grand Valley State, 12-0, in seven innings of non-conference action at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.
 
After picking up two runs in the top of the first inning, the Lakers poured it on with six additional runs in the second inning highlighted by a leadoff homerun from senior 
Stephen Claypool and three-run blast to left-center by junior 
Giancarlo Brugnoni to provide GVSU with an 8-0 cushion.
 
Grand Valley State added a run in the fourth inning before junior 
Taylor Banks clubbed a two-run shot an inning later and the Lakers pushed one more run across in the seventh to solidify the 12-0 final.
 
Senior 
Anthony Campanella (1-1) fanned six while scattering three hits in seven innings to earn the win, while junior righthander 
Bryce Bellin (1-1) tossed three innings and surrendered nine runs - all earned - in his first loss of the season.
 
Junior 
Chris Williams came off the bench and went one-for-one with a double for the Mavericks offensively.
 
Now 7-3 overall and 0-0 in the NSIC, MSU will do battle with GVSU once more tomorrow morning as the pair of top-25 teams square off at 9:30 a.m. EST.
