Box Score St. Paul, Minn. --- The No. 20 Minnesota State women’s basketball team began a three game road trip with an 83-68 loss to Concordia-St. Paul, falling to 11-3 overall and 7-3 in the NSIC.
The Mavericks found themselves in an eight point hole, trailing the Golden Bears 36-28 going into intermission. MSU converted on 12-of-35 (34.3%) of its shots from the field, 3-of-11 (27%) from behind the arc and 1-of-3 (33%) from the charity stripe.
Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul each managed to record 24 rebounds in the opening stanza, but the Golden Bears were able to make the most of their rebounds, recording 11 second-chance points in addition to 11 points off turnovers.

Ali Wilkinson paced the Maverick offense, scoring a team-high seven points in the opening frame. Freshman
Anna Leloux added two points and 10 rebounds in the first half for the Mavericks.
Eight points was as close as Concordia-St. Paul would allow the Mavericks to get in the second half. MSU trailed 39-31 before the Golden Bears would open up a 20 point lead with just under eight minutes remaining.
The Mavericks struggled shooting the ball, converting on 24-of-68 (35%) from the field, 6-of-20 (30%) from behind the arc and 12-of-19 (63%) from the charity stripe. The Golden Bears shot 48% from the floor, 40% from downtown and 75% from line.
Eight Mavericks found their way into the scoring column, led by Wilkinson who finished with a team-high 23 points and collected eight rebounds. Junior

Aubrey Davis each added nine points and Leloux led MSU on the glass pulling down 10 rebounds and scoring two points.
The Mavericks will return to action Friday evening as they travel to St. Cloud, Minn. to face the Huskies of St. Cloud State, tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
