Burnsville, Minn. --- Minnesota State men's golf coach
Geoff Klein was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Coach of the Year the league announced Tuesday.
Klein, who is in third season with the Maverick golf program, helped guide Minnesota State to its fourth consecutive NSIC this past spring as MSU won the league title with a four-round total of 1,206. This marks the second time in Klein's career he has been tabbed the league's coach of the year.

Greg Werner# (Farmington, Minn.) were each tabbed
Honorable Mention All-NSIC for their efforts on the course this season. Ramirez finished the 2011-12 season with an average of 76.5 strokes over 21 rounds while, Werner shot an average of 77 over his 21 rounds this season.
On the women's side, Minnesota State's #
Samantha Bergmann and Lisa Moline# were each named
First Team All-NSIC. Bergmann, a native of New Ulm, Minn., led MSU in scoring average this year with a 78.9 over 20 rounds of golf. Moline – who hails from Duluth, Minn. – averaged an 82.5 this season over her 20 rounds of action.
The Minnesota State women wrapped up its 2012 season earlier this month with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Central Region Tournament while the men finished 16th at the NCAA Central Region tournament.
