The No. 13 Mavericks will take to the road as they travel to Bismarck, N.D. to face U-Mary Friday and Minot, N.D. to square off against Minot State Saturday.

About the Opposition: The Mavericks will embark on a two match road trip to North Dakota and currently hold a 7-0 advantage over the University of Mary (3-13, 3-6 NSIC) dating back to 2006. In that time, Minnesota State has downed the Marauders 21 sets to one. The Mavericks have yet to square off against the Minot State Beavers who are 4-15 on the season and still looking for their first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win.

Looking Back: The Minnesota State volleyball team (12-5, 6-3 NSIC) played host to then ranked No. 18 Wayne State Friday evening and Augustana Saturday. The Mavericks defeated the Wildcats 3-2 Friday evening and fell to the Vikings 3-1 Saturday. Minnesota State was led by senior outside hitter Chelsea Fogarty who recorded two consecutive double-doubles on the weekend posting a 19 kill, 21 dig performance Friday, followed by a 15 kill, 10 dig match Saturday.

In the Clutch: Minnesota State is 4-0 in matches that go five sets, the Mavericks defeated Sioux Falls 3-2 on Sept. 14. Four days later the Mavericks played host to Concordia-St. Paul, in their win over Northern State, the Mavericks once again came away with a 3-2 win Sept. 21 at the Taylor Center in Mankato, and most recently the Mavericks were able to come away with the 3-2 win over No.18 Wayne State this past weekend.

Home Sweet Home: The Mavericks are 5-2 this season within the friendly confines of the Taylor Center including a win on Sept. 18 against then ranked No. 2 Concordia-St. Paul. Minnesota State holds a 5-1 mark in matches played on a neutral floor and is 2-2 in road games during the 2012 campaign.

Deuces!: Senior outside hitter Chelsea Fogarty has recorded 11 double-doubles this season including a 19 kill, 21 dig performance against Wayne State this past Friday. Fogarty is the fourth Maverick volleyball to eclipse to 1,000 kill and the 1,000 dig mark in her career.

D-D-Defense: Junior defensive specialist Kelli Elhardt leads Minnesota State in digs and receiving attempts, she has recorded 264 digs (3.88 per set) and has 391 total receiving attempts and only has 14 receiving errors through 68 sets during the 2012 campaign.
