Omaha, Neb. --- Minnesota State absorbed a 5-1 loss at eighth-rated Nebraska-Omaha in Western Collegiate Hockey Association action at Nebraska Omaha Friday.
Nebraska Omaha took a 1-0 lead at the 13:07 mark of the opening period with sophomore defenseman Bryce Aneloski beating MSU sophomore netminder Phil Cook on a backhand move from in front of the net.
UNO scored twice in the second period to take a commanding 3-0 lead. Ryan Walters tapped the puck past Cook at 6:41 and following a couple of nice saves by Cook, Joey Martin put a rebound into the net at 18:51 for UNO’s third goal of the game.
