Minnesota State Wrestlers Fall to #12 in NCAA Division II Rankings

Edmond, Okla.Minnesota State dropped one spot to #12 in the latest edition of the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association poll.  Minnesota State is one of four Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference teams ranked in the top-20, joining #8 Augustana, #9 St. Cloud State and #11 Upper Iowa.

            Two Mavericks also earned individual recognition.  Three-time All-American senior Brady Wilson (Faribault, Minn.) held on to the top spot at heavyweight for the third consecutive poll while junior All-American Andy Forstner (Madelia, Minn.) held on to the #4 spot at 125 pounds.

            The Mavericks will be in action this Saturday and Sunday at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals, held in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  Minnesota State will open the tournament by facing Western State at 9:00 a.m.
